The Best Websites to Find Stylish Skiwear On Sale

Let’s face it— skiing can be expensive. Costs can add up when you take accommodations, transportation, equipment, lift tickets, and lessons all into consideration, but there are clever ways to save money without sacrificing style or quality. Luckily for skiers that love high-quality, stylish apparel, it’s possible to save considerably on skiwear by shopping end-of-season sales or resale sites. Discover my list of favorite platforms and websites to search when shopping for skiwear on sale, ranked from 1-9.

1. Vestiaire Collective

Vestiaire is my top choice for designer vintage shopping online, and in the years that I’ve been using the platform I’ve seen they offer a wide range of new, like-new, and great condition second-hand skiwear at great prices. It’s also a great platform because even though it’s structured like an online marketplace, their policies are stringent and sellers are required to be very clear, thorough, and detailed when creating product descriptions, and if there are any discrepancies they offer reliable buyer protection. You can find great prices on skiwear on this platform any time of year. Vestiaire is also a great source if you want to off-load any of your designer skiwear that you don’t use or don’t love anymore.

2. TheRealReal

The Real Real is another great source for second-hand skiwear in great, like-new, or sometimes brand new condition. Their platform model is more like an online consignment shop, so they inspect, photograph, and manage the sale/fulfillment of each item that is listed and sold through their site, so there are no surprises when you buy from them. I’ve also seen that they have great options at great discounts during the off-season, but in prime ski-season their best pieces can sell out quickly.

3. Halfdays “Last Run”

Halfdays is a relatively newer ski apparel brand that’s making a big splash in the female skiing community for creating functional and flattering skiwear using technical fabrics in fun colors. I recently purchased their Aston Jacket, Alessandra Pants, and Emma Soft Shell Pants, and while I already know I love the fit, style, and quality from trying them on, I am excited to really put them to the test on my next ski trip (I will report back!). They’re a wonderful brand because they are size-inclusive, and also offer great discounts in their “Last Run” collection on their website where you can save considerably on colors that will be discontinued.

4. MyTheresa

MyTheresa seems to have the biggest selection of designer skiwear on sale, and I noticed they are usually the first to advertise discounts— this year it was as early as mid-February which is still prime ski-season.

5. FarFetch

FarFetch also has a great selection, and tend to markdown their skiwear pretty heavily. If you’re shopping on FarFetch for the first time, you can also sometimes take advantage of special promotions for an additional 10-15% off.

6. The Outnet

The Outnet is the online outlet for Net-a-Porter, so there you’ll be able to find considerable discounts on past-season designer skiwear. Their discounts seem to get deeper into the off season, so especially if you happen to be in the mood to shop skiwear in the summer you can find some great deals!

Currently, The Outnet has a lot of pieces from my favorite skiwear brand, Erin Snow, on sale!

7. Moda Operandi

I’ve found that Moda Operandi can have great discounts but a limited selection on skiwear, but you can get lucky if you happen to find what you’re looking for, in your size, on sale.

8. Matches

Matches is another site that I’ll check occasionally, and while they have a good selection on skiwear, their discounts are not remarkably steep.

9. Revolve

While it’s not necessarily at the top of my list when searching sites for good deals on stylish skiwear, it is still worth mentioning. I feel in general items on sale on Revolve tend to sell out faster and thus are not marked down as heavily compared to other sites. However if you have a specific brand or item in mind, the site could be a good source to check out in the off-season.

In my years of skiing I’ve picked up a few tips on when to spend and when to save, and found that there are plenty of great opportunities to save on high-quality, stylish skiwear simply by shopping at the right time. In regard to designer ski apparel, I’ve found there isn’t too much variation in technology or features in the clothing from year-to-year, that pretty much everything goes on sale toward the end of the season, and that the next year’s skiwear may only differ in color.
