Celebrating 400,000 of Us on Giving Tuesday with Kiva!

For Giving Tuesday and in celebration of over 400,000 of us in the She is Not Lost Instagram community, I invite you to join me on Kiva and contribute to a female entrepreneur’s microloan. I personally will be matching your contributions up to $400.
All you have to do is follow these three steps:
Make a minimum contribution of $25 to a borrower of your choice
Assign the contribution to the She is Not Lost team so I can see it and match it!

How does it work?
Kiva microloans are an empowering and sustainable way to create opportunity for individuals, their families, and their communities in developing nations. The loans are crowdfunded, meaning that you can make a minimum contribution of $25 even if the total amount of the loan is greater than that. Because a loan is not a donation, the borrower pays you back and you can choose to lend that same money again and again.
Why women?
Studies show that women and mothers are typically and historically more economically disadvantaged than men, but are more influential in creating opportunity and prosperity for their families and communities when they earn incomes, become entrepreneurs, and gain decision-making power in their homes.
How do I choose a borrower?
Kiva’s filtering tools allow you to select a borrower by location and industry. To make the loan more meaningful to you, I suggest selecting a borrower from a country that you have traveled to in the past, or would like to travel to in the future!
